I don’t play an instrument and have never learned to read music, still music is a great passion of mine. So, I savor the goodness created by those blessed with musical talents. When it comes to styles, I enjoy variety: pop, folk, classical, klezmer, country, blues, disco, reggae.

I grew up on western pop and rock, but my favorite now, far-and-away, is Christian lyrics accompanied by any of the styles mentioned above. I have Christian songs in my collection in every one of those categories. The pursuit of God and holiness is not at all about abandoning physical and emotional pleasure. (But that’s a whole other discussion. Consider John 10:10.)

I’ve been regularly posting lists of what I’m currently listening to at my J-Journals blog. But, something else I’ve been wanting to do is create my own CD compilations of favorite songs. As I do that, I’ll be posting the details here!
